"Any boy or girl under the age of twenty-two is eligible for membership in the National Society of the Children of the American Revolution who is lineally descended from a man or woman who, with unfailing loyalty, rendered material aid to the cause of American Independence as a soldier, sailor, civil officer, or recognized patriot in one of the several Colonies or States, or of the United States, provided that the applicant is personally acceptable to the Society." FEES: $35 for 1st applicant [$15.00 application fee + $20.00 yearly membership fee]; $30.00 for each additional applicant with same parents, and same patriot submitted at the same time [$10.00 application fee + $20.00 yearly membership fee].
Supplemental Applications based on a different patriot can be submitted using the N.S.C.A.R. Application for membership after a C.A.R. National Number has been issued. Supplemental Fee: $25 per supplemental
Proving a New Patriot
Ancestors not yet been approved by C.A.R., DAR, or SAR require further documentation than a proven Ancestor.
